Ammonite is such a gorgeous and interesting material! This is a slice from a fossilized extinct sea creature that died out about 65 million years ago. The ammonite is set in an 18k yellow gold, one-of-a-kind ring in a modified, demi-bezel. It is accented by one (1) tube set round brilliant cut diamond (0.10 carat) which also acts as a prong to securely hold the ammonite in place. Framing the edge of the in a semi-bezel are twenty-three (23) round brilliant cut diamonds weighing 0.37 carats. The Ammonite weighs 2.58-carats and measures 5.91 x 8.13 x 2.05 mm; it has a lovely play of color including greens, reds, orange and yellow. The diamond accents have VS clarity and G-H color. Overall weight of the ring is 7.5 dwts
