Martin W. Hassing
Owner and award-winning master jeweler, Martin has been creating and repairing jewelry since 1974. He is an experienced and imaginative goldsmith known for being willing to take on any project in gold, silver, or platinum, no matter how unusual. Martin has been trained at the Gemological Institute of America in Advanced Diamond Setting, Diamond Grading, and Gem Identification courses, and is a field expert in gemstones after decades of being a gem buyer in Asia and South America. Naturally, he is an enthusiastic world traveler and journeys annually to Thailand to hand-select loose gemstones for Summit. He has also taught metal-working and stone setting workshops at Maryville University, Webster University, and Southern Illinois University.
Gayle Gourdé Camp
Jewelry designer, appraiser, consultant, and bench jeweler, Gayle has been with Summit since 2006. Gayle graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in metalsmithing and is a graduate of the G.I.A. Diamonds and Diamond Grading course. She has experience with metal fabrication, enameling, casting, stone setting, and both traditional and modern CAD jewelry designing. With a flair for the whimsical and unusual, her designs have a big personality. Gayle is also a painter, sculptor, and illustrator and has shown her artwork around St. Louis. She is very busy keeping up with her two young sons while enjoying being a Den Leader and all kinds of fun activities with her family and friends.
STACY MINDEN
With over three decades of experience in the jewelry industry, Stacy’s journey has been defined by her creativity, education, and her love for jewelry. Stacy has authored two books on Diamonds and Colored Gemstones and taught Gemology for 15 years at St. Louis Community College. Stacy is multi-faceted in many areas of diamonds, fine jewelry, custom design, and appraisals. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and her seven parrots!
Vicki Ferris
Primarily our manager and bookkeeper, Vicki also works up at the counter and can assist you in your jewelry needs. On the board with Stray Paws, she is huge animal advocate and passionately supports our local rescues.
Heather Buddemeyer
Heather is usually behind-the-scenes working as a bookkeeper, but occasionally working up at the counter as well! She has a passion for jewelry and is often out and about rescuing dogs for Stray Paws.
Yadi, Bebe, Roscoe, Jewel, Cassy, and Beatrice
Our four legged employees, Yadi, Bebe, Roscoe, Jewel, Cassy, and Beatrice! They love to help out at the counter and spend most of their time guarding our feet at our desks and benches.
