Perfect for Any Occasion–Rainbow Moonstone Cultured Pearl Dangle Earrings (E2941)
A pair hand-constructed dangling earrings made of 14k white gold and set with cabochon cut moonstone and cultured pearls. Each oval rainbow moonstone measures 9.0 x 7.0 mm; total weight of both stones is 4.23 carats. Dangling below the moonstone is one (1) fully-drilled white cultured pearl measuring 7.0 – 7.5 mm and an elongated decorated “bullet”. Each is attached to shepherd’s hook ear wires. Overall length is 54.8 (2 1/8-inch).

The art of metal-smithing is an ancient one, dating back thousands of years. This project begins with various sizes of wire, lost wax castings and stones. The metal is then shaped, soldered together and set with stones that hand-selected for each piece. (One of the difficulties of hand-creating earrings is making the two pieces identical!) Finally, the earrings are polished and textured in a multi-step process and cleaned. Lastly, we critically inspect the item to make sure everything is as we intended. Each artist has his or her own aesthetic and technique which adds to the wide variety of unique pieces in our inventory.
